Smile Detection Auto-Capture Toggle auf Huawei
Smile capture is a Huawei camera setting that watches every face inside the frame and releases the shutter automatically once it detects a smile.
On EMUI this runs inside the stock Camera app, so a photo can trigger even when you only opened the app to check framing or lighting rather than to take a picture.
The feature is convenient for hands-free group shots, but it becomes a problem when it fires during candid moments, portraits with a neutral expression, or whenever you want full control over the exact instant a photo is taken.
To change the setting, open Camera and tap Open the settings.
Inside the settings list, find Activate or deactivate Capture smiles and switch it to match what you want: keep it on for automatic captures, or turn it off to release the shutter only when you tap the button yourself.
The change applies immediately and does not affect any other camera mode or setting.
