Colour Correction Setup auf Huawei
Colour correction on Huawei phones adjusts the entire display palette so people with red-green or blue-yellow vision deficiencies can distinguish elements more easily. The feature does not change brightness or contrast on its own; it remaps specific hue ranges so icons, graphs and status colours stay recognisable.
The setting sits inside the accessibility tools of EMUI, separate from Dark mode or Eye comfort, because it targets colour perception rather than screen brightness or blue light.
To reach it, follow this path:
Open the settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility features ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on Colour correction ➔ Activate or deactivate Colour correction ➔ Tap on Correction mode ➔ Choose a correction mode
Once active, pick the mode matching the type of colour vision deficiency: Deuteranomaly and Protanomaly both target red-green confusion, while a third mode covers blue-yellow shifts. Switching modes updates the display instantly, so you can compare them before settling on one.
If colours look fine but text or icons are simply too small, colour correction is not the right fix; look at font size or display scaling instead. Turning the feature off restores the original colour palette immediately, with no lasting changes to photos, videos or saved files.
