Show or Hide Carrier Name on Display auf Huawei
The carrier name label on a Huawei phone comes from a display setting linked to your SIM card, not from the carrier itself. It shows the network name (for example your provider) next to the signal bar so you can quickly see which line is active, which matters most on dual-SIM devices.
This option lives inside the display settings rather than the SIM or network menu, which is why many users overlook it. Turning it off frees a bit of space in the status bar and gives a cleaner look, especially on phones with a notch or punch-hole camera where space is limited.
To change it, open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Display & brightness ➔ Tap on More display settings ➔ Activate or deactivate Display carrier name. Confirm your choice and the status bar updates right away, no restart needed.
If you rely on the carrier name to distinguish between two active SIMs, keep the toggle on. If you only use one SIM or already recognize your provider by the signal icon, switching it off does not affect calls, data, or network switching in any way.
