Enable Developer Options auf Huawei
Developer options stay hidden on Huawei phones by default because most settings inside affect app behavior, animation speed, or debugging tools that regular users rarely touch.
EMUI hides the menu behind a build-number trigger buried in the phone information screen. Tapping it repeatedly flips a hidden flag that reveals the full Developer options menu inside system settings.
To unlock it, open Settings ➤ About phone, then tap seven times on the Build number entry. Watch for a pop-up counting down the remaining taps before the menu unlocks.
Once enabled, Developer options shows up in the main settings list, usually near the bottom under system settings. Most toggles inside - animation scale, GPU rendering, background process limits - only matter for testing apps or diagnosing performance issues.
USB debugging is the one setting most people actually need. It lets a computer communicate with the phone over USB for sideloading apps, running ADB commands, or using specialized transfer tools.
If the build number does not respond after several taps, confirm you are tapping the correct line - some Huawei phones list build number and EMUI version separately. Restarting the phone or signing into a Huawei ID beforehand can also fix the issue on certain units.
