Enable or Disable Camera Flash auf Huawei
The camera flash on Huawei devices has more than a simple on/off switch. It also supports an automatic mode, where the phone decides on its own whether extra light is needed based on readings from the built-in light sensor.
This matters because forcing the flash On in daylight often washes out photos, while leaving it Off indoors can result in blurry, underexposed shots. Automatic mode is meant to balance this, but it does not always match your personal preference, especially in mixed lighting or backlit scenes.
How to change the flash mode
Open the camera app on your Huawei device. Tap the flash icon, usually shown as a small lightning bolt on the viewfinder.
The Menüpfad is: Open Camera ➔ Tap on Flash ➔ Choose between on, off, automatic or always.
Selecting On forces the flash for every shot. Off disables it completely, even in low light. Automatic hands control back to the sensor, and depending on your camera version, an Always option keeps the flash active as a constant light source, similar to a torch, for video or preview.
If flash still does not fire after choosing On, check that no battery saving mode is limiting camera hardware.
