Enable or Disable HDR auf Huawei
HDR (High Dynamic Range) on Huawei phones captures several photos at different exposure levels and blends them into a single image. This helps balance bright skies with darker foregrounds in one shot, which a single exposure often cannot handle well.
The trade-off is speed. Because multiple frames are taken and combined, HDR shots take slightly longer to process. Moving subjects, shaky hands, or fast-changing scenes can cause blurring or faint double edges, sometimes called ghosting.
Turn HDR off for action shots, sports, pets, or anything moving quickly, and for low-light scenes where a longer capture time causes more harm than good. Turn it on for landscapes, backlit portraits, or interiors with bright windows, where the dynamic range between highlights and shadows is wide.
Where to find the setting
Open the Camera app, tap More, then tap HDR to switch it on or off. The icon in the viewfinder shows the current state, so you can confirm the change before shooting.
If your photos still look flat after enabling HDR, check that enough light is available and that the camera stays steady while it captures the multiple frames.
