Enable or Disable JavaScript in Browser auf Huawei
JavaScript drives most interactive parts of a website, from drop-down menus to live chat, video players, and payment forms. If a page in the Huawei Browser looks broken, buttons don't respond, or content fails to load, the script engine for that site is usually turned off.
Huawei Browser, part of EMUI, keeps a single toggle for JavaScript inside the site settings. Turning it off can lower data usage and block some tracking scripts, but it also breaks pages that depend on dynamic content, such as online banking, maps, or streaming platforms.
To change the setting: Open the Browser app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Site settings ➔ Tap on JavaScript ➔ Enable or disable JavaScript.
Leave JavaScript enabled for everyday browsing. Disable it only when testing a slow connection, saving mobile data, or visiting a site you don't fully trust, and switch it back on once the page you need starts working again.
