Huawei: Manage the Location Prompt in the Browser App

The Browser app on Huawei phones controls location requests separately from the phone's system-wide location settings. This permission decides whether websites are allowed to ask for your position at all, not whether one specific site can access it right now.

When the setting is turned on, any website can show its own location request the first time it needs your position, for example a maps service or a store locator. When it's turned off, no website receives an automatic prompt, and location-based features on those sites either stay disabled or fall back to a manual location entry.

To change this behavior, open Browser ➔ Open the menu ➔ Settings ➔ Site settings ➔ Location, then switch the toggle to enable or disable location requests.

This setting only affects the built-in Browser app. Other browsers installed on the device manage their own location permissions independently, and app-level location access is handled elsewhere in the phone's general settings.
