Mount Memory Card Again auf Huawei
EMUI unmounts an SD card automatically when you tap safely remove, when the card produces a read error, or when the system flags it as unstable while the phone boots. Once unmounted, the card stays physically in the slot but Android treats it as absent: the gallery loses its photos, apps can no longer save or open files on it, and the storage overview stops listing its capacity.
Mounting the card again only works if the storage itself is still readable. Go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on Storage ➔ Tap on Memory card ➔ Tap on Mount. The card reappears in the storage list within a few seconds, and most apps regain access without needing a restart.
If the Mount option is missing or greyed out, the card may no longer be readable. Remove it, check the contacts for dirt, or test it in a computer before assuming the phone is at fault.
Mounting is not the same as formatting. Mounting only re-enables access to data that is already on the card, it does not delete anything. Only format the card if mounting fails repeatedly and you no longer need to recover existing files.
