Enable or Disable Browser Night Mode auf Huawei
Web pages in the Huawei browser open with a bright white layout by default, even when the rest of the phone runs in a dark theme. That mismatch happens because browser night mode is a separate setting from the system-wide dark theme in EMUI, and it lives inside the app itself rather than in the phone's display settings.
Night mode dims the browser interface and applies a color filter to most web pages, cutting glare in low light or before bed. Some sites with fixed background colors or embedded images may not invert completely, which is normal and not a fault of the browser.
To switch it on or off, go to Browser ➔ Menu ➔ Night mode. The toggle applies right away and stays active across open tabs until you turn it off again the same way.
If pages still look washed out with night mode enabled, the site may force its own light theme through its own code, and the browser filter cannot override every page style. Pairing browser night mode with the system dark theme gives the most consistent dark appearance across apps.
