Power Off Your Smartphone auf Huawei
Huawei phones running EMUI include several background modes that quietly keep the device active. Do Not Disturb, Sleep Time and Concentration Mode all pause notifications, but none of them stop apps and services from running behind the scenes.
A full power-off closes every open app, resets background processes and gives the RAM a clean start. That is different from a restart, which reboots faster but often keeps parts of the previous session cached.
To shut down manually: Tap and hold the power button ➔ Tap on Power off ➔ Confirm with Touch to power off. The confirmation step exists so the phone does not switch off by accident if the button gets pressed in your pocket.
If the screen stays dark or the slider never shows up, the phone might be frozen rather than just muted by a focus mode. In that case a forced restart, holding the power button for around ten seconds, is the safer move instead of waiting on the regular power-off menu.
Turning the phone off every few days helps clear memory that apps did not release properly and can fix minor lag without needing a factory reset.
