Power Saving Mode: Enable or Disable auf Huawei
Power Saving mode on Huawei phones reduces background activity to extend battery runtime. Once active, background downloads, app refreshes, and email checks are throttled or paused, which is why messages and updates can arrive with a delay.
This behavior is intentional and tied directly to the battery management in EMUI. The system prioritizes keeping the phone usable over keeping every app fully synced in real time.
Where to switch it on or off
You control this setting through Open the settings ➔ Tap on Battery ➔ Activate or deactivate Power Saving mode ➔ Confirm with Enable. The same path lets you turn the mode off again once the phone is charged or you need full background performance.
Leave Power Saving mode off if you rely on instant notifications, active navigation, or ongoing downloads. Switch it on when the battery is low and you need the phone to last longer than usual, even if that means slower background tasks in the meantime.
