Scan a Business Card into Contacts auf Huawei
Business card scanning on Huawei phones is built into the Contacts app, not the camera. The camera only captures the image, while the Contacts app runs the text recognition that turns names, numbers and email addresses into a usable contact entry.
To use it, open Contacts ➔ Open the menu ➔ Tap on Scan. Hold the card flat and well lit inside the frame on screen. Recognition works best with printed text; handwritten or heavily stylized cards may produce incomplete results.
After scanning, review every field before saving. Recognition can misread similar characters, especially in phone numbers or email domains, so a quick check avoids a wrong contact entry later.
The same scan option usually also reads QR codes, which is useful if a business card includes one instead of printed contact details.
If the scan repeatedly fails, try better lighting or a flatter surface first. A blurry photo or a curved card is the most common reason recognition returns empty or wrong fields.
