Enable or Disable Screen Saver auf Huawei
The screen saver on Huawei phones only displays photos while the device is charging and the screen is switched off. If nothing shows up, the feature is either disabled or the picture source and playback duration were never configured.
You control this through EMUI's display settings, not through the lock screen or wallpaper menu, which is why many users never find it. The correct path is:
Open the settings ➔ Tap on Display & brightness ➔ Tap on More display settings ➔ Tap on Screen saver ➔ Activate or deactivate the Screen saver ➔ Choose a Picture source and the Playback duration
What the picture source does
The picture source determines which album or folder the screen saver pulls images from. If the selected album is empty or has been deleted, the screen saver activates but shows nothing, which looks like a malfunction.
Playback duration and timing
The playback duration controls how long each photo stays on screen before the next one appears. A very short duration can make the transition look glitchy, while a long duration may give the impression that the screen saver froze.
If you only want a static clock or date display instead of rotating photos, the Always On Display feature is the better fit and works independently of charging status.
