Show or Hide Carrier Name in Status Bar auf Huawei
The carrier name next to the notch comes from a display option inside EMUI, not from your SIM card itself. It only controls visibility, so hiding it does not affect network connection or signal strength.
On Dual SIM phones, EMUI stacks both operator names in the same corner. That can make the status bar look cramped, especially on phones with a small notch or punch-hole camera.
Where to find the setting
Go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Display & brightness ➔ Tap on More display settings ➔ Enable or disable Display carrier name. Turning the toggle off removes the label immediately, no restart needed.
Turn it back on if you switch SIM cards often and want a quick visual check of which operator is active. If your status bar still feels cluttered after hiding the carrier name, check for other status bar toggles like network speed or battery percentage in the same display settings screen.
