Huawei: Switch Between Gestures, Buttons and NaviDot

Huawei phones ship with Three-key navigation active by default, but you can switch to full-screen gestures or the floating NaviDot instead.

The setting sits under Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & updates ➔ Tap on System navigation. From there, choose Gestures, Three-key navigation, or turn on the Navigation dock toggle for the NaviDot.

Gestures replace the back, home, and recent-apps buttons with swipe zones along the screen edges. Three-key navigation keeps the familiar on-screen buttons in place. The NaviDot adds a small movable circle on the display that opens a shortcut menu on tap and acts as a back button when dragged.

Before leaving Three-key navigation, check any accessibility or one-handed mode features that rely on the navigation bar. Some of them expect the on-screen buttons and may stop responding correctly once gestures or the NaviDot take over, so you might need to reassign their trigger afterward.

If gestures near the screen edges trigger too often by accident, Three-key navigation remains the more predictable choice.
