Turn a Keyboard Language On/Off auf Huawei
SwiftKey on Huawei phones keeps every downloaded keyboard language active by default, even ones you barely type in. Each active language shows up in the swipe-switcher above the keyboard, which makes it slower to find the layout you actually want.
Turning a language off is different from deleting it. Deactivating only hides it from the switcher, while the dictionary and layout data stay stored on the phone. That means you can turn it back on instantly, without waiting for another download.
To manage this, open Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & updates ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on SwiftKey Keyboard ➔ Tap on Languages. From there you can Activate or deactivate the keyboard language for any installed language.
Use this toggle when you switch languages occasionally but don't want them cluttering the switcher. If you never plan to use a language again and want to free up storage, deleting it entirely from the same Languages screen is the better option, since deactivating alone does not remove the downloaded data.
