Unhide Albums in Gallery auf Huawei
When an album disappears from the Gallery overview on a Huawei phone, the photos and videos inside it are almost always still on the device. Gallery has a dedicated hiding function that removes an album from the main grid without deleting a single file.
This hiding option sits inside the Gallery app itself, not in the general phone settings. It is meant for albums you want to keep private from casual browsing, for example shared galleries or personal folders.
To bring an album back into view, open Open the Gallery app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Tap on Hide albums ➔ Unhide an album. This shows every album currently hidden, and you can unhide one or several at once.
If an album is still missing after this, check whether it was moved to a different storage location or synced through a cloud backup instead of being hidden locally. In that case, the fix is on the backup or storage side, not in the hide-albums list.
Unhiding an album has no side effects on the files themselves. It only changes whether the album shows up in the default Gallery view again.
