Wake Screen for Notifications auf Huawei
Wake screen for notifications is a separate function from your regular screen timeout. It decides whether EMUI lights up the display briefly whenever a new notification comes in, even while the phone is idle in your pocket or on a table.
When this option is disabled, the screen stays completely black for incoming messages, calls, and app alerts. You only find out about them from the notification LED (if your model has one), a vibration, or by manually waking the phone.
To change the behavior, open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Notifications ➔ Tap on More notification settings ➔ Activate or deactivate Wake screen.
Turning wake screen on is useful if you rely on glancing at the display to check who messaged you. Turning it off helps if the phone lies face-up near you often and the flashing screen becomes distracting, or if you want to save a small amount of battery.
This setting works independently from Always On Display. If your device has an Always On Display, that panel can still show time and icons regardless of the wake screen toggle.
