Enable or Disable Activity Controls auf OnePlus
Web & App Activity is a Google account setting, not a OnePlus feature, but OxygenOS gives you a direct shortcut to it inside the phone's privacy menu. When enabled, Google records your searches, browsing history in Chrome, and activity from apps connected to your account. This data feeds personalized suggestions, autocomplete, and ad targeting.
Disabling it does not break your phone or any app. You lose some convenience, such as tailored search results or quick access to recently used apps, but nothing stops working. If you only want less targeted advertising rather than a full activity stop, adjusting ad personalization separately in your Google Account is a lighter option.
To reach the toggle: Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Privacy ➔ Tap on Advanced ➔ Tap on Activity controls ➔ Enable or disable Web & App Activity.
Keep in mind this screen only controls new data collection going forward. Existing history entries, including Site history and YouTube history, stay stored until you delete them separately in your Google Account activity page.
