Fullscreen app display settings auf OnePlus
Most apps on a OnePlus phone automatically fill the entire display, matching the tall aspect ratio of the screen. Some apps, especially older ones or those with fixed layouts, are not optimized for this and open with black bars above and below the content instead.
OxygenOS lets you override this behavior per app through the display settings. This forces the app to stretch across the full screen, even if the developer never added support for it.
Where to enable fullscreen mode
Go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Display ➔ Tap on Advanced ➔ Tap on Apps to display in fullscreen. Here you find a list of installed apps with a toggle next to each one. Switch on the toggle for the app that is currently showing with black bars.
The change applies immediately the next time you open the app. No restart or update is required.
When to leave it disabled
If an app in fullscreen mode ends up hidden behind the camera cutout or notch area, keep fullscreen mode off for that app instead. Some apps place important buttons or text in that exact spot, so forcing fullscreen can make parts of the interface unreachable.
Check the app after switching it back and forth once to confirm which mode displays its content correctly on your specific model.
