OnePlus: Turn Google Autofill On or Off

If login fields, payment details or addresses fill in on their own on your OnePlus, Autofill with Google is doing the work in the background. That is convenient, but it also means saved passwords and card numbers sit ready to insert wherever a matching field shows up. Some people want that speed, others prefer to enter sensitive data manually every time.

Enable or Disable Google Autofill Service auf OnePlus

Autofill with Google is the system service that inserts saved data into apps and browser forms on your OnePlus. It covers login credentials, passwords, addresses and payment methods, and sensitive entries usually need a fingerprint or face confirmation before they get inserted.

This setting is separate from the browser's own autofill and from any third-party password manager you might have installed. If you use an app like a dedicated password manager instead, disabling the Google service here avoids double prompts when a field asks which autofill provider should handle it.

Turning the service off does not delete already saved passwords or addresses from your Google account. It only stops Android from offering to insert them automatically, so you go back to typing details manually or copying them from another app.

To change the setting: Open the SettingsTap on PrivacyTap on AdvancedTap on Autofill service from GoogleEnable or disable Use Autofill with Google.

If fields still fill in with old data after disabling the service, clear the app's cache or restart it, since some apps cache the last autofill result locally.

Frequently asked questions

No. Saved logins, addresses and payment methods stay in your Google account. Disabling the service via Autofill service from Google only stops automatic insertion on your OnePlus.
