Banner Notifications for Apps auf OnePlus
Banner notifications on OnePlus phones only appear while the screen is unlocked. They sit above the status bar for a few seconds so you can read or act on a message without opening the app.
This behaviour is controlled per notification category through the Pop on screen setting, not by the general app notification switch. An app can have notifications fully enabled and still never show a banner if this specific option is off for the category the message belongs to.
To check or change it, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Apps & notifications ➔ Tap on See all apps ➔ Choose an app ➔ Tap on Notifications ➔ Choose a category ➔ Enable or disable Pop on screen.
Turning Pop on screen off does not silence the app. Notifications still reach the notification panel and the lock screen, they just skip the banner overlay.
If you want to silence an app completely, disable notifications for that app instead of touching individual categories. If banners are missing across many apps at once, check Do Not Disturb or Focus mode first, since either can suppress banners system-wide regardless of the per-app setting.
