Enable or Disable Block Offensive Words in Gboard auf OnePlus
The Block offensive words filter is part of Gboard's text correction engine, not a OnePlus-specific feature. It compares what you type against an internal list of flagged terms and either skips suggesting them or blocks autocorrect from completing them.
On OnePlus phones running OxygenOS, this setting ships enabled by default. That is useful for shared devices or when typing in front of others, but it can interfere with legitimate words, usernames, or technical vocabulary that overlaps with the filter's list.
To change it, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on Virtual keyboard ➔ Tap on Gboard ➔ Tap on Text correction ➔ Enable or disable Block offensive words.
Toggling it off does not disable autocorrect entirely, it only stops Gboard from filtering flagged words. If autocorrect still feels too aggressive after this change, check the separate autocorrection and personalized suggestions options in the same Text correction menu instead.
Disabling the filter has no effect on predictive text learning or your saved dictionary, so previously blocked words will start appearing in suggestions again immediately after the switch.
