Enable or Disable Data Saver auf OnePlus
Data Saver on OnePlus restricts background data for installed apps whenever a mobile connection is active. Once it is on, apps stop syncing in the background, images and videos in messaging or social apps only load when you open them, and automatic media downloads pause until you request them manually.
Notifications still arrive, but the content behind them often loads late, which explains missing thumbnails or delayed previews. Streaming and music apps skip preloading too, so playback can briefly stall right after you open them.
To check or change the setting, go to Settings ➔ Wi-Fi & network ➔ SIM & network ➔ Data Saver ➔ toggle Use Data Saver. Turn it off if you have a large or unlimited data plan and want apps to update instantly.
If updates are still slow after disabling it, check the individual app's own data or sync settings, since some apps apply their own background limits separately from this system toggle.
