OnePlus: Edit the Quick Settings in the Status Bar

If your quick settings panel is cluttered with icons you barely use, or a toggle like Flashlight or Screen Recorder is nowhere to be found, the layout just needs a manual edit. OxygenOS keeps every extra shortcut hidden in a separate row until you drag it into the visible panel yourself. Until you sort that list, you keep swiping past icons you never touch while the ones you actually need stay out of reach.

Edit Quick Settings in the Status Bar auf OnePlus

The quick settings panel on OnePlus phones only shows a default selection of toggles. Everything else, like Flashlight, Screen Recorder or Dark Mode, sits in a hidden row until you add it manually.

To open the editor, Swipe downwards with two fingers to expand the panel, then Tap on Edit. This switches the panel into edit mode and reveals every available toggle, including the ones not currently shown.

Use Swipe left or right to browse the quick settings to see the full list of hidden icons. Tap and hold an icon to pick it up, then Drag the icon in upper area to add it to the quick settings. Release the icon to position it exactly where you want it in the visible row.

The same drag gesture works for reordering icons you already have, or for pulling one back down to remove it from the visible panel. Once the layout looks right, Tap on Back to save the changes and exit edit mode.

If a toggle is still missing after editing, it may belong to a feature that is disabled elsewhere in the system, not to the quick settings list itself.

Frequently asked questions

Some toggles only appear once the related feature is active at least once, or after a restart. If it still does not show up after Tap and hold an icon and dragging through the hidden row, check whether the feature works from its own app first.
