Enable or Disable Google Voice Typing auf OnePlus
Google voice typing turns spoken words into text directly inside the OnePlus keyboard. It sits inside the virtual keyboard settings, separate from the regular typing options, which is why it can be missing or greyed out if it was never activated or got switched off after an update.
To enable or disable it, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on Virtual keyboard ➔ Tap on Manage keyboards ➔ Enable or disable Google voice typing.
Once enabled, a microphone icon appears on your keyboard whenever a text field is active, letting you dictate messages, emails or notes instead of typing them manually.
Disabling the feature removes the microphone icon and frees up a small amount of space on the keyboard row, which can help if you never use voice input and prefer a cleaner layout.
After a device restart, Android keeps the keyboard locked along with the rest of the system until you unlock the phone. Voice typing will not respond to taps during that state, so unlock the screen first before trying to dictate text.
If the microphone still does not appear after enabling the option, check that microphone permission is granted to the keyboard app in your app permission settings.
