OnePlus: Enable Large Mouse Pointer

Connecting a mouse via USB or Bluetooth to your OnePlus phone often leaves the pointer too small to track on a touchscreen-sized display. This setting controls how large the cursor appears when you navigate with an external mouse instead of your finger.

Enable or Disable Large Mouse Pointer auf OnePlus

When you pair a mouse with your OnePlus phone over USB or Bluetooth, the system still renders the pointer at the same small size used for stylus input. On a phone-sized screen this makes precise clicks harder, especially for users with limited vision or reduced fine motor control.

The large mouse pointer option lives in the accessibility settings, separate from display or font size controls. Enabling it only changes the cursor graphic itself, not app layouts or touch target sizes.

Where to find the setting

Open the SettingsTap on SystemTap on AccessibilityEnable or disable Large mouse pointer. Toggling it on immediately resizes the cursor the next time you move a connected mouse.

Turn it off again the same way if the larger cursor feels bulky once you switch back to touch navigation without an external mouse. The toggle has no effect while no mouse is connected, so leaving it enabled does not change anything about normal finger-based use.

If the pointer still looks unchanged after enabling the setting, disconnect and reconnect the mouse to force the system to redraw it.

Frequently asked questions

No. The toggle only changes the cursor graphic shown when an external mouse is active. Touch gestures and finger navigation stay exactly the same.
