Enable or Disable Lift to Wake auf OnePlus
Lift to Wake relies on the motion and proximity sensors built into your OnePlus phone. When the device detects a lifting or straightening motion, it wakes the display so you can glance at the clock or notifications without pressing a button.
This behavior is controlled through the Ambient display settings, not a separate app. It sits alongside other screen-on triggers like double-tap-to-wake, so disabling one does not affect the other.
To change it, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Display ➔ Tap on Ambient display ➔ Enable or disable Pick up your phone to show. Toggling this off stops the screen from reacting to movement alone; you will need to press the power button or tap the display instead.
Turning it off helps in two common situations. First, if the phone sits loose in a bag or pocket and wakes up constantly, disabling the trigger reduces battery drain from unnecessary screen activations. Second, if you are concerned about notification previews showing on the lock screen whenever the phone moves, switching this off limits accidental exposure.
Keep it enabled if you frequently check the time or notifications without touching the phone, since it is a convenience feature rather than a security setting. If your real goal is hiding lock screen content, adjust notification privacy settings instead of disabling Lift to Wake entirely.
