Enable or Disable Nearby Share auf OnePlus
Nearby Share on OnePlus phones uses a mix of Bluetooth, GPS and a short-lived Wi-Fi connection to find devices and move files quickly. If any one of these is switched off, the feature either disappears from view or fails to detect other phones nearby.
GPS is required because Android uses location scanning to discover nearby Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals reliably, even though no location data is shared with the person receiving the file. During an active transfer, your phone may also create a temporary Wi-Fi hotspot, so an aggressive battery saver or data restriction can interrupt the process midway.
To turn the feature on or off, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Bluetooth & device connection ➔ Tap on Nearby Share ➔ Enable or disable Nearby Share ➔ Set the device name and visibility or the data usage.
Inside that same screen you also control who can see your device and whether transfers run on mobile data or Wi-Fi only. If you mainly exchange files with the same group of people, switching visibility from everyone to contacts only reduces unwanted share requests without turning the feature off completely.
