Optimize App Battery Usage auf OnePlus
When one app drains your OnePlus battery faster than the rest, the cause is usually its individual power setting inside OxygenOS. Every installed app gets its own battery optimization level, and this level decides how aggressively the system limits background activity for that specific app.
OxygenOS offers three modes per app. Intelligent Control lets the system decide automatically, adjusting the background energy concept based on your usage pattern. Optimize applies stricter background limits, which saves battery but can delay notifications from chat or mail apps. Don't optimize removes restrictions entirely, useful for apps that must stay active in the background, such as navigation or music streaming tools.
Where to change the setting
Open the Settings ➔ tap on Apps & notifications ➔ tap on See all apps ➔ choose the app you want to adjust ➔ tap on Advanced ➔ tap on Battery optimization ➔ choose Intelligent Control, Optimize or Don't optimize.
Pick Don't optimize only for apps where missed notifications or interrupted background tasks actually cause problems. For everything else, Intelligent Control usually gives the best balance between battery life and reliability.
