Record a Video with the Camera App auf OnePlus
Video capture on OnePlus phones runs through the same camera app used for photos, but the on-screen controls change once you switch over.
Open the Camera app and swipe over to Choose Video. The shutter button changes function immediately: instead of taking a photo, tapping it now starts a recording. This is where many people lose track, since the icon looks familiar but works differently now.
The full control sequence is: Open the Camera app ➔ Choose Video ➔ Tap on the shutter release to start recording ➔ Tap on Pause if desired ➔ Tap on the shutter release to stop recording.
The pause option appears next to the shutter button once recording begins. It lets you interrupt a clip without ending the file, which is useful when you need to wait out a passing distraction. Tapping the shutter button again after pausing resumes the same recording rather than creating a new one.
Ending a clip works the same way as stopping it: tap the shutter button once more. If recording stops on its own before you tap anything, check available storage or an active battery-saving feature, since both can cut off long video sessions.
