Change Ringtone Volume auf OnePlus
When a OnePlus phone stays silent during incoming calls, the ring volume slider in the sound settings has usually been lowered too far, either by accident in a pocket or on purpose during a quiet moment.
OxygenOS ties the ring volume to the same slider used for notification tones, message alerts, and general system sounds. Turning the ringer down also lowers the volume for WhatsApp messages and other app notifications, which explains why a missed call often comes with a missed message too.
To adjust it: Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Sounds & vibration ➔ Swipe left or right to set the Ring volume. Moving the slider right raises both ringtone and notification volume; moving it left lowers both together.
If you want calls to ring loudly while keeping message alerts quiet, this single slider will not separate the two. In that case, check individual app notification settings or a scheduled quiet mode instead, since the system-wide ring volume control does not offer independent levels per sound type.
One side effect worth knowing: dragging the ring volume all the way down mutes calls silently rather than switching to vibration, unless vibration is turned on separately in the same sound settings menu.
