OnePlus phones running OxygenOS include a Screen recorder tool, but it does not sit in the app drawer like a normal app. It lives inside the quick settings panel, which is why it often stays undiscovered until you actually need it for a tutorial, a bug report, or a gaming clip.
To reach it, swipe down with two fingers from the top of the display to open the quick settings. If the tile is not visible right away, swipe left or right to browse through the available quick settings tiles until you spot Swipe with two fingers to open the quick settings ➔ Swipe left or right to browse the quick settings ➔ Tap on Screen recorder.
Once you tap the tile, recording starts after a short countdown, and a small floating control window appears on top of every app. That control lets you pause, resume, or stop the capture without pulling down the notification shade again. Internal audio, such as game sound or media playback, is recorded alongside the screen, so you rarely need an external microphone for gameplay content.
If the tile itself is missing from the quick settings list entirely, the panel usually still holds an edit option where tiles can be rearranged or added back in. This is different from a crashed or frozen recording, which usually points to a storage or permission issue rather than a missing tile.
