Screen Wake for Notifications auf OnePlus
On OnePlus phones running OxygenOS, the display does not automatically light up when a notification arrives. This is controlled by the Ambient display feature, which is separate from the always-on clock or lock screen settings.
If Ambient display for new notifications is turned off, the screen only turns on when you press the power button or pick up the phone, depending on your gesture settings. Messages from WhatsApp, email, or other apps then go unnoticed until you check the phone manually.
Where to enable it
Go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Display ➔ Tap on Ambient display ➔ Enable or disable New notifications. Turning this option on makes the screen briefly wake up whenever a new notification arrives, showing the sender and a short preview.
Turning it off again saves battery and avoids screen flashes at night, but you will only see notifications after actively waking the phone. If you use Do Not Disturb or a scheduled Focus mode, notifications during that period will not trigger the screen wake even with this setting enabled.
