Turn Screenshot Sound On or Off auf OnePlus
The screenshot sound on OnePlus phones is a dedicated system sound, separate from your ringer or media volume. That is why muting the phone or lowering media playback does not stop it. It plays through a fixed system channel that OxygenOS uses to confirm the capture, no matter which method you use to trigger it, whether it is a button combo, a swipe gesture, or a shortcut from the Recent apps view.
To change it, open Settings ➔ Sounds & vibration ➔ System sounds, then find the Screenshot sound entry and switch it on or off.
Turning the sound off is useful in quiet environments like meetings, lectures, or shared offices where an audible confirmation draws attention. Keeping it on helps you confirm that a screenshot was actually captured, especially useful if you often take several captures in a row and want audio feedback for each one.
This setting has no effect on the screenshot itself; the file still saves the same way. It only removes or restores the sound cue. If you still hear a sound after disabling it, check whether a separate camera shutter sound or third-party screen recorder app is playing its own audio.
