Enable or Disable Select to Speak auf OnePlus
Select to Speak lets your OnePlus phone read screen text aloud once you tap or highlight it. The feature sits inside the accessibility settings and, once turned on, adds a floating control button to the navigation area.
That button lets you start reading, pause, or switch to continuous reading mode. If the button never shows up, the feature was likely never enabled, or the required permission got revoked after a system update.
To turn the feature on or off, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on Select to Speak. Use the toggle to enable or disable Select to Speak. The first time you turn it on, confirm the permission request with Tap on Allow, then close the info screen with Confirm with Got it.
Turn the feature off again if the floating button gets in the way during normal use, for example in games or split-screen apps. For reading entire screens instead of selected text, a dedicated screen reader like TalkBack usually works better since it does not require manual selection.
