Share Keyboard Usage Statistics Setting auf OnePlus
Gboard, the default virtual keyboard on OnePlus phones running OxygenOS, can collect anonymous statistics about how you type. This data is sent to Google and used to improve autocorrect, word prediction and other keyboard features across devices.
The setting sits outside the main keyboard preferences, which is why many users never see it. It only affects data sharing, not the actual typing experience, so turning it off does not disable autocorrect or suggestions.
To check or change the current state, open Settings ➔ System ➔ Languages & input ➔ Virtual keyboard ➔ Gboard ➔ Advanced, then enable or disable Share usage statistics.
Disabling this option keeps typing behavior local to your device. Enabling it means anonymized usage patterns contribute to Google's keyboard improvements over time.
If your main concern is app permissions or microphone access rather than usage statistics, check the separate privacy settings for Gboard instead, since this toggle only covers usage data collection.
