Sound & Vibration for Calendar Reminders auf OnePlus
When calendar reminders on a OnePlus phone stay silent, the Calendar app's own notification channel is usually turned off or has no sound and vibration pattern assigned.
OxygenOS treats calendar alerts as a separate notification category from the general system sound. A ringtone chosen for calls or messages does not automatically apply to calendar events, since the Calendar app manages its own notification settings independently.
Setting sound and vibration for reminders
Open the Calendar app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on General ➔ Enable Notify on this device ➔ Tap on Calendar notifications ➔ Tap on Advanced ➔ Set a sound and enable or disable Vibrate.
Inside Advanced, you can pick a pre-installed ringtone or a custom mp3 file stored on the device, and switch vibration on or off separately from the sound.
If reminders still stay silent afterward, check whether Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode is blocking calendar notifications system-wide, since that overrides the app-level sound setting. Also confirm the Calendar app is not restricted by battery optimization, as this can delay or suppress notifications entirely regardless of the sound configuration.
