Enable or Disable Speak Passwords in TalkBack auf OnePlus
TalkBack is the screen reader built into Android and used on OnePlus phones for accessibility. When TalkBack is active, it normally reads out everything you tap, including individual characters while you type a password.
The Speak passwords option controls exactly this behavior for password fields. With it enabled, TalkBack confirms each character you enter, which helps people who rely on audio feedback to type accurately without seeing the field. With it disabled, TalkBack stays silent on password entry, so nothing sensitive gets spoken near other people.
You find the switch inside TalkBack's own settings, not in the general Accessibility list. To reach it, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on TalkBack ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Enable or disable Speak passwords.
Turn it off if you often type passwords in public or shared spaces and do not need audio confirmation. Leave it on if you depend on TalkBack for typing and mistakes are more disruptive than the privacy risk. The setting only affects TalkBack's spoken feedback, it does not change how passwords are stored or displayed on screen.
