Enable or Disable Touch Sounds auf OnePlus
Touch sounds are short acoustic signals that OxygenOS plays whenever you tap a menu entry, a button, or one of the on-screen navigation keys. They confirm that your input was registered, which helps in noisy environments but feels excessive once you know your way around the interface.
This feedback sits in the general sound settings of your phone, separate from ringtone or notification volume. Turning it off does not affect call sounds, alarms, or notification tones. It only silences the clicks tied to navigation and menu taps.
To change it, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Sounds & vibration ➔ Tap on System sounds ➔ Enable or disable Touch sounds. The toggle applies instantly, so you can test it right after switching it.
If you still hear taps after disabling this option, check whether a third-party keyboard app has its own sound settings, since those run independently from the system toggle.
Leave touch sounds enabled if you rely on audio confirmation for accessibility reasons or when operating the phone without looking at the screen.
