Add Trusted Places to Smart Lock auf OnePlus
Smart Lock's trusted places feature keeps your OnePlus phone unlocked at locations you mark as safe, such as home, work, or a family member's place. Instead of relying only on a fixed screen timeout, the phone checks your current location and skips the lock screen when you are inside a saved area.
This is useful if you unlock your phone dozens of times a day at the same spot, for example at your desk or in a workshop. It reduces friction without disabling the lock screen everywhere else.
How to add a trusted place
Open the Settings ➔ Security & lock screen ➔ Smart Lock. Enter your current pattern, PIN, or password to confirm it is you. Tap on Trusted places, then Add trusted place and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the location.
The phone uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile network data to estimate the boundary of a trusted place, so the exact unlock radius can vary slightly depending on signal accuracy.
If you need the lock screen active everywhere regardless of location, for example for stricter work compliance, remove the trusted place instead of relying on a shorter screen timeout.
