Show Typing Indicators: Enable or Disable auf OnePlus
Show typing indicators tells the other side of a conversation that you are currently composing a reply on your OnePlus phone. The feature works through the built in Messages app and mirrors the typing bubble known from WhatsApp Messenger.
Some people find this signal helpful because it confirms a reply is coming. Others feel rushed once the other person sees the indicator appear, especially during longer or more thoughtful replies.
The setting lives inside the chat features of the Messages app, separate from notification or privacy settings. Disabling it only stops your own typing status from being sent; it does not affect whether you see typing indicators from contacts, since that depends on their own setting.
To change it, open Open the Messages app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Chat features ➔ Enable or disable Show typing indicators.
If messages still appear to send instantly without any typing signal after disabling this, that is expected behavior and not a bug.
