Set Date and Time Automatically

Show or Hide Birthdays in Calendar
Birthdays from your contacts do not always show up in the calendar app on an Oppo phone, even though the dates are stored correctly in your Google account. Usually the birthday calendar layer is just switched off or the sync has not caught up yet. This affects anyone who wants a quick overview of upcoming birthdays without opening the contacts app separately.
Change Google Backup Account
If your phone backs up to the wrong Google account, storage on that account can fill up fast or you may not find your backup when setting up a new device. This mix-up usually happens after switching Google accounts on the phone without updating the backup destination in Storage and Backup. The good news is the backup account is not locked in and can be swapped at any time.
Resize a Widget on the Home Screen
If a widget on your Oppo home screen only shows a fixed size and won't stretch right after you add it, that's expected. Coloros only unlocks resize handles once the widget is already sitting on the screen, not while you're still picking it from the widget drawer. That's a different flow than on stock Android, where some launchers let you size a widget before you even drop it.
Enable or Disable NFC
If Google Pay refuses to trigger at the checkout terminal or your Oppo phone ignores NFC tags on posters, speakers and smart accessories, the wireless chip is likely switched off in the background. NFC also handles quick pairing with some headphones and smart tags, so a silent failure here breaks several features at once. Schedule Dark Mode Automatically

App Download Preference (Wi-Fi or Mobile Data)

Format SD Card

Formatting is also the fastest way to wipe a used SD card clean before selling the device or reusing the card elsewhere. Every file on the card gets deleted permanently, so back up anything important first.
Change Camera Frame (Aspect Ratio)
If your photos look tighter or wider than expected, or the resolution suddenly seems lower, the camera frame ratio is probably set to the wrong option. On Oppo phones you can switch between 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and Full, and each ratio crops the sensor differently. Which resolution you actually end up with depends on your specific model.
Turn Camera Watermark On/Off
If every photo or video from the camera app carries an unwanted overlay with the phone model, date, time, or location, ColorOS added that watermark automatically. The Google Calendar app on Oppo phones has a display option that stretches these short entries so they take up the same visual space as a standard half-hour slot. Without it enabled, brief tasks and reminders often get buried between longer events.
Disable Automatic Power Saving Shutoff After Charging
If Power saving mode on your Oppo phone switches off by itself once the battery reaches roughly 60 percent, ColorOS is applying its built-in reset rule. That can be annoying if you want reduced performance and background limits to stay in place no matter how much charge is left.
Schedule Do Not Disturb
Turning Do Not Disturb on and off by hand every night gets old fast, especially if your sleep or work hours shift. Block Calls and Notifications in Game Space

If a contact group still shows an old team name or a typo, it can confuse you every time you scroll through your address book on your Oppo phone. The label does not update on its own and stays until you change it manually. Coloros lets you fix this directly inside the Contacts app.
Delete a Contact Group
Deleting a contact group on an Oppo phone with Coloros only removes the group label, not the people inside it, and that catches many users off guard. The option sits a few taps deep inside the group menu, so it is easy to tap the wrong entry or miss it entirely.
