Realme: Remove an Account from Users & Accounts

If you sign out of an account on your Realme phone but its messages, contacts, or files stay right where they were, you probably logged out instead of fully removing the account. Removing an account wipes its local copy of data from the phone, but leaves everything untouched in the cloud service itself. That distinction matters before you reset, sell, or hand over the device.

Remove an Account auf Realme

Realme phones store every linked account - Google, email, or third-party services - under one settings menu. Signing out only pauses sync, while removing the account deletes its local data from the device permanently.

To remove an account, open SettingsUsers & accounts, then tap the account you want to delete. Open the menu icon, tap Remove account, and confirm with Remove account again.

This action clears locally stored messages, contacts, and cached files tied to that account. It does not touch anything already synced to a cloud service like Google Drive - those files stay online under your account until you delete them there separately.

If you only want to stop notifications or pause sync temporarily, disabling sync for that account is a better fix than removing it entirely. Removing an account is the right move when you are resetting the phone, switching owners, or cleaning up unused logins.

After removal, apps tied to that account may lose access until you sign back in. Any offline downloads or attachments saved locally will disappear along with the account.

Frequently asked questions

Local copies stored on the phone are deleted. Anything already backed up to a cloud service stays there and is not affected by removing the account under SettingsUsers & accounts.
