Realme: Turn Off Personalized Ads in Privacy Settings

Personalized ads on your Realme phone use your search queries and app activity to pick which promotions you see. Turning the option off does not reduce the number of ads themselves, just the targeting behind them. Many users expect fewer banners after opting out and are surprised when the same volume keeps showing up.

Turn On/Off Personalized Ads auf Realme

Personalized ads on Realme UI come from a profile built out of your search history, installed apps, and browsing behavior inside Realme's own ad network. This profile decides which promotions or suggestions appear in system apps, the app store, and some pre-installed tools.

Switching off personalization does not block ads. It only removes the targeting layer, so you keep seeing the same number of banners, just less tailored to your interests. If your actual goal is fewer ads overall, check notification settings for individual apps or use an ad-blocking browser instead, since the privacy toggle described here only changes relevance, not volume.

Where to find the toggle

Open SettingsPrivacyAdvancedAds. Enable or disable Opt out of Ads Personalization, then confirm with OK.

The change applies system-wide across Realme's ad services. It has no effect on ads served by third-party apps that run their own tracking, because those operate outside Realme UI's privacy controls.

Frequently asked questions

No. You still see the same number of ads and banners. The Opt out of Ads Personalization option only stops Realme from using your activity to choose which ads are shown.
