Turn On/Off Caller ID Announcement auf Realme
Caller ID announcement makes your Realme phone read the incoming caller's name or phone number out loud when a call comes in. It uses the contact name if the number is saved, otherwise it reads the digits.
This is useful when your hands are busy, for example while driving or cooking, since you can hear who is calling without looking at the screen. It becomes annoying if it triggers for every call, even when you are sitting right next to the phone and can simply glance at the display.
Realme UI lets you limit the announcement to headset use only, so it stays quiet unless a Bluetooth or wired headset is connected. This is the middle ground between full announcements and none at all.
Where to change it
Open Tap on Phone ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Caller ID announcement ➔ Tap on Announce caller ID. Then choose Always, Only when using a headset or Never.
Pick Always if you often miss calls because the phone is out of reach. Choose Only when using a headset if you only need the announcement while driving or exercising with earbuds in. Select Never to turn the feature off completely.
