Realme: Change App Opening and Closing Animation Speed

Realme UI controls the visual speed of app opening and closing transitions separately from general system performance. If a window snaps shut too fast or lingers too long before an app fully appears, the setting responsible is the app animation speed value in the interface preferences, not a lag issue with the app itself.

This setting only changes how long the transition animation plays. It has no effect on app load times, background processing, or storage speed. A slower value gives a smoother, more deliberate feel, while a faster value makes switching between apps feel snappier but less polished visually.

Where to change it

Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Home screen & Lock screen ➔ Tap on App animation speed ➔ Choose Fast, Medium or Slow.

Pick Fast for the quickest transitions, Medium for a balanced feel, or Slow if you want to see the full animation play out. The change applies immediately across the system, so you can test it right away by opening a few apps from the home screen.

If apps still feel slow to open after switching to Fast, the delay usually comes from background app management or storage performance, not the animation setting. In that case, check app permissions or free up storage rather than adjusting the animation speed again.
