Auto-Add New Apps to Home Screen auf Realme
On Realme phones, every app you download from the store gets a placement rule. By default, Realme UI drops a new icon straight onto your home screen, right next to your existing apps and folders.
If your layout keeps shifting every time you install something, this behavior is the reason. It also explains the opposite problem: some users install an app, cannot find it on the home screen, and assume the install failed, when it actually only landed in the app drawer because the setting was already off.
You control this from one toggle. Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Home screen & Lock screen ➔ Enable or disable Add apps to Home screen.
Switching it off stops new icons from appearing on your home screen automatically. Every app you install afterward stays in the app drawer until you place it manually. Switching it on restores the automatic placement.
This setting only affects newly installed apps going forward. It does not move icons that are already on your home screen, and it does not remove or hide any app from the drawer.
If your real goal is a cleaner home screen overall, rather than controlling future installs, organizing existing icons into folders or removing unused ones from the home screen directly is the faster fix.
