Hide Apps on the Home Screen auf Realme
On Realme phones running Realme UI, hiding an app icon only works as an extension of app lock. If an app is not locked yet, the 'Hide home screen icon' switch stays greyed out and does nothing.
Once app lock is active for a specific app, you can hide its icon from the home screen and the app drawer. The app itself keeps running normally in the background, so notifications, alarms or downloads are not affected.
Where to find the option
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Privacy ➔ Tap on Hide apps ➔ Turn On/Off an App. The list only shows apps that already have app lock enabled.
Toggling the switch for an app removes its icon immediately. There is no separate confirmation step, so double-check you selected the right app before switching it off.
Getting to hidden apps again
Hidden apps do not disappear from the phone. You reach them through the same Hide apps screen in Privacy, where you can open them directly or turn the toggle off to bring the icon back to the home screen.
If you unlock or delete the app lock for that app entirely, the hide setting is removed as well and the icon returns automatically.
